Welcome. Spring is here! Well it is supposed to be. Here at Woodlands it is still cold and we have had several late frosts and some very strong winds. But the daylilies, while a few weeks behind, are looking lush and green and the first few early varieties of daylilies are in flower.
We are busy preparing for the Taranaki Fringe Garden Festival which runs paralell to the Rhododendron Festival. This is our first year in the festival and we are excited about being involved. We will be open from 9am until 3pm from 27 October until 5 November, entry is free and there will be plenty of potted daylilies and clivia for sale. If you require any further information or a programme for the Festival do contact us.
In your garden there is really nothing to do with your daylilies now. That is the great thing about daylilies - they are so easy care! There is still plenty of time to plant new plants though so check our Spring Special List which once again has some great varieties for great prices. Have a look under SPECIALS on the web site.
This is still a relatively new website and we welcome your comments or ideas that you may have to make the site easier or more relevant for you to use.
Happy gardening! Angus and Maxine Wood
